Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs since I was a kid where we had 2 lovely Weimaraners. Ever since then I’ve walked dogs wherever I could, be it for friends or family members. Over the last 4 years in particular I’ve walked several dogs regularly each week, looking after them at times for the whole day at mine. I’ve also looked after dogs of all ages from puppies to older dogs and can match their energy - whether it’s chilling out or lots of ball throwing on walks! I like to regularly go out for walks on my lunch breaks in the week, and go for a good stroll on the weekend around Bristol and would love a furry companion to join me!

I met Josh via 'BorrowmyDoggy' many years ago now when he was first a student in Bristol and Mona was an exuberant young spaniel. Mona is now 8 and we still see Josh from time to time. Mona adores him, he has walked her for years always taking great care of her and been very reliable and considerate. He clearly loves dogs and many other animals, I can vouch fully for Josh as a person and his ability to take great care of any dog...
Josh is a super good dog friend. He has walked my cocker spaniel for the last few years and they both go off on long walks and adventures and come back happy. I would recommend Josh to anyone with an energetic dog who needs a great day out or short blast.

There are no other pets in the house. There is also a fenced and secure decent sized back garden to play in. There are no kids toys/other objects in the house/garden that can be chewed/swallowed. I also live away from any busy roads, and behind the garden is allotments/school fields so it’s always nice and quiet.

If staying the night, I need to know if your dog gets separation anxiety or needs letting out with certain body language. I also need to know how your dog reacts to other dogs and people when going on a walk, and if there are any triggers or things to avoid that it doesn’t like.
A typical day
When at home, I love a good game of hide and seek in the house! My garden is big enough for a good game of catch too, and there’s a comfy sofa to cuddle up on if staying the night. There are also several good parks nearby where we can stretch our legs a little more!

I work full time and work from home 2 days a week, and can be flexible which days I do (normally Monday and Friday). I don’t have many meetings/work commitments so can be flexible about letting your pooch out in the garden, giving them a good scratch behind the ear and taking them for a lunchtime walk!
