Welcome to The Baum Shelter! My wife and I run a local animal sanctuary for abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. My wife and I both work from home full time which allows us to devote all our free time and attention to our special furry (and sometimes not so furry) babies. We are both 33 years old and have spent our entire adult lives bringing in and caring for animals in need. At The Baum Shelter, every life deserves a chance. We care for a variety of animals and pay for all of their needs out of our own pocket. We don't have any children of our own, but we look at each and every one of the animals under our care as if they were our own children. We both come from veteran homes and have nothing but the utmost respect for our service members. Therefore, we also provide temporary housing for active duty military and first responders while they are out on tour. In addition, when we come across a rescue with the right personality and demeanor we will train them as service or therapy dogs for veterans in need. Took keep all this going and still have a roof over our head, we've decided to add dog boarding and doggy day care to our repertoire. We look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pooches!
