Joshua has been a close friend of my son’s for about a year and a half, having met each other in graduate school. He has spent many hours in my household and it is a pleasure to know this warm, caring, and polite gentleman. Joshua is very good with dogs. For example, we have two dogs. One of them is not very accepting of people outside our family. She barks incessantly at new people. When she first met Joshua, he was extremely patient with her, speaking calmly, gently and lovingly. Joshua accepted her and seemed to know what to do to sooth her. Before long, he won her over. This is no small feat. Joshua is now one of her favorite people. In addition to his hard work at school, he also recently spent time in Ecuador volunteering his time and talent at a clinic there, where his help was badly needed.
