Joshua Santiago has always presented himself as a compassionate and considerate person. During my time of knowing him, he has had about four dogs, two of which he still has. He has cared for and looked after these dogs as one would a child, so I would say he has the experience and understanding required for being a dog caregiver. As the eldest son, he also helps his mother and father take care of his grandmother that has lived with them for a few years now.
