My kids and I would love to get a dog, but can’t accommodate a full time dog. I thought this would be a good way for us to get some good doggy play time intermittently. I have owned dogs since childhood, but have not gotten a new one since my last one passed away a few years back. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments - special needs dogs, too. I think occasional boarding will be good for my kids to learn responsibilities related to pet ownership and get exposure to many different types of dogs. Ideally, they would gain valuable skills and your dog would have human playmates with nearly boundless energy to keep them occupied while staying with us. We are in a townhouse, but there are ample green spaces and parks nearby for your pup to run and play.
