Pet care experience
I’m the guy at the party who plays with the dogs. My first dog was my Beagle Dixie. I loved her from when I was just a boy, 12, until I was 26 years old. My parents taught me how to care for her since I was so young, but I quickly learned how to give her the best love I could. She was almost 15 when we said our “see ya laters”.🥹🥲 I have cared for neighbors beloved pets as well. Everything from Wire Fox Terriers to Retrievers to Great Danes. My family’s second dog was LaLa. She was a Black & Tan Coonhound.we rescued from Texas in 2009. She was such a love that needed extra special care and patience. We loved her with all our hearts for nearly 13 years. I acquired another dog while we had LaLa. His name was Bubba; an Am-Staf/Boxer mix… And he was a best friend til the end. Our story is a great one, I never used to take a lunch during work, but one day I did, and I rescued him from a homeless woman outside who told me she could no longer care for him. My heart knew what I had to do in an instant. I bought the lady some lunch, and in return she gave me my best friend ever. We sat in my truck and had lunch together…and the rest is history. I always wish there had been a way to accurately determine his age, it was a always a mystery. I knew he was older since he came with a little grey on muzzle when we found each other, but I would have liked to know how long he’d been here. We were best pals for over five years until we had to say heartbreaking “until laters” in July 2019. They were some of the best years of my life. My current pup Lucy is a rescue as well. I saved her from San Ysidro in Sept 2021. She’s most likely a McNab that LOVES to play and run. We take multiple walks a day and she gets to roam around the backyard to her heart’s content. I will always give dogs all I can.
Reviews
Coco enjoyed his vacation with Josh, while we went on our vacation. We received regular photos and updates and It was obvious Coco was very comfortable and happy.
Riley always has a blast with Josh and we have good piece of mind. She loves playing with Lucy and gets plenty of attention.
Third time Josh has kept our yorkiepoo, Cooper. Cooper is so comfortable staying with him. Josh is the best!
This is our second time having Josh watch our yorkie poo Cooper. We feel so comfortable leaving Cooper with him. Josh sent us video's of Cooper playing with his dog Lucy who is larger than Cooper but is very gentle with him. Josh is easy to work with for drop off and pick ups. We feel fortunate to have found him.

I have a fenced backyard with two locking gates on both sides of the house. The yard is ample size with plenty of move to run, explore. Plants, but nothing toxic. Dogbeds to lay on outside and sunbathe or cool off in the shade. Different kinds of toys. Plenty to choose from. The inside part of the house where they can be is carpeted, couches, and has dogbeds as well. And regarding as to how you prefer your dog to be cared for… this is just my routine. Of course I will follow your instructions to the T as to how to care for your Furbaby the way you want them to be cared for.

Information Josh B. would like to know about your pet
I’ll prefer to know some basics such as times your pet usually wakes up, likes to nap, or go to bed for the night. What you prefer to feed them, the quantity. and frequency. And treat distribution details are also required as I tend to spoil my dog. Any medical issues such as giving medication (orally or by syringe) or being alert for symptoms can all be safely accomplished. Also if there are any triggers that can make them uneasy or uncomfortable; loud sounds, skateboards, scooters, horns, etc. I’ll try to avoid those at all costs and comfort them should we encounter them. And of course any names or key words your dog may particularly respond to so I can sound as familiar to them as possible. Always happy to meet ahead of time as well so it’s not like being dropped off on the first day of school for your pup.
A typical day
I wake up early, so it’s never an issue if anybody needs to go potty. Potty time usually happens on a walk for my Lucy, but the backyard is safe and available too. Lucy and I have a few favorite haunts that we frequent. There is a large fenced grassy park across the street from my house at the Elementary School.. Lots of room to run! Lake Murray is also another favorite. We watch the ducks and sniff all the smells around the trail…Lucy does, I just watch. We’ve been to Fiesta Island many times as well. Always a blast. Though I prefer it when it’s warm and during the week when it’s not crowded. Plenty of toys to play with, and your fit is welcome to bring their own toy as well.

Availability
I am currently home full time. Early walks at the park across the street start our day. Then another leisurely stroll around the neighborhood around 10. Lunch, toy time, and a nap or two follow. Then around 2:30 we go for a second walk(run) at the park (she gets one before work too), then the afternoon’s activities and to-do list, before dinner and maybe an evening stroll. Usually everybody’s in their dogbed by 9.
