Pet care experience
I've grown up with all kinds of pets since I was 3 years old, and have experience caring for doggies from puppies all the way to elderly pups of all different sizes and breeds. In 2022 I rescued a German Shepherd, named Brucey Boy, from the Animal Foundation, he was my heart and soul and I spent every waking minute getting him the help he needed to live a happy and healthy life. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us which crushed me. Because of this experience, I am very passionate about giving doggies (especially rescue dogs!) the love, care, and time they need to ensure a beautiful happy life! This is exactly why I am on Rover, to care for your pet the way we cared for ours. I have always taken special care of the doggies I watch because they deserve every bit of love I can offer. The love being, playtime, walks, treats, etc. You can definitely call me an animal lover because I have grown up with frogs, fish, dogs, cats, chickens, bunnies, and even an Iguana. I have a HUGE heart for all animals! Needless to say, I am super excited to get to know you and your furry family, and I hope to hear from you soon! *I have experience with hyperactive and aggressive breeds* Due to my fiance being allergic to cats, we cannot board cats in our home.

Josey did so great with a new puppy!! It was a last minute request, unexpected on our end and she was super accommodating. Lots of pictures, videos and updates and I felt assured he was in good hands during our quick trip away! Highly recommend! We'll be booking with her again in the future for sure!
Josey was incredible and I would 100% book her again! I'm confident my dog was loved and well cared for. I received updates and pictures daily. Josey and her fiance were a perfect fit for what I needed! They were flexible, accommodating and had excellent communication. I can't thank them enough!!

Josey is such a sweet pet sitter. She cared for our elderly dog, Micky who is on his "own" time schedule. She made sure he was fed at just the right times, had his medications, took him for walks and made sure he had lots of loves! We even got pics! When we returned home he was very happy and content. Booking with her was easy and she seems to have a flexible schedule. Highly recommend!!

In my home, we have a 2 story house with a decent-sized backyard for the doggo to run around and play in, & typically take dogs on walks in the early morning. Because we used to have a dog, we have an XL bed, kennel, treats, etc. In clients' homes- I would operate as they normally operate in their homes, including feeding hours, walking hours, etc.

The most important things I would need to know are if your pet has allergies, medications, special needs, behavior around people/other dogs; if they are allowed to be left at home for 1-2 hours (in the case I had to leave for work), and if they have any aggressive tendencies.
A typical day
A typical day includes a 1-2 mile walk (Depending on if the doggie is capable of doing so) in the morning, breakfast, and some playtime in the back yard. Usually, they are pretty tired after the walk so they rest while I work (primarily work from home but may need to leave the house occasionally). Lunch time playtime, treats, etc. Dinner, cuddles, playtime, and if they require an additional walk then I will walk them again.
