Hi my name is Josephine and I’m 21 years old. I am a student pursing a bachelors degree in biology at FIU. My career goal is to become a veterinarian. I have two dogs and they are so important to me. Animals are such amazing creatures. I have years of animal experience from fostering animals, volunteering my time at the zoo, and working as a veterinary technician. I was a veterinary technician for 2 years. At this job I cared for animals from as little as newborn kittens to as big as Great Danes. I administered medicines such as insulin shots, antibiotic pills, and topicals. I’ve also monitored their care at the clinic and took them out for walks. Additionally I assisted the doctors with patients in the exam rooms. Working in the clinic I have learned so much and I know what to do in case of an emergency. I love to interact with animals and play with them. I believe that every animal should always feel loved. I have a strong love for animals and I hope to share it with each one.
