I Want to Extend My Dog Family!
Pet care experience
Hi there! I'm Joseph and I can't wait to meet you and your dog! After 21 years in sales and retail management, I've been lucky enough to reevaluate my career. I thought about what makes me passionate and happy and the first thing that came to my mind was caring for dogs! I'm excited to become your go-to sitter and walker. I have been a FULL TIME pet sitter for over two years! I'm studying to become a certified dog trainer and I'm a seasoned dog sitter/walker. One of my first jobs was walking a pair of Dobermans for a neighbor in high school, which I did for 4 years until I moved to Baltimore. Big or small, I love them all. I even watched an ex girlfriend's Great Dane for a week! I'm the one my neighbors and friends ask to watch their dogs while they're away. I understand that communication is very important especially when you are away from your pet! I know I like to see my boys, Jim and Glenn, while I am on vacation. I enjoy taking creative pictures with the dogs I'm sitting, and sending them to the owner with a brief summary daily. I've had two dogs for 4 years now; Jim, a 70 pound Rottweiler / Hound mix , and Glenn AN 85 pound American Bulldog / Hound mix. We go on four walks a day: 2 longer packwalks ~about 1.5 to 2 miles each (weather / dog comfort permitting) and the two shorter tinkle around Latrobe Park. Along with my experience sitting and walking dogs, I am currently studying to become a certified dog trainer. There's only one nationally accredited certification program by Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. There are two parts to the certification and I am currently working on part one prerequisites for the Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessment. I'm really excited to learn more about your dog--and you of course!
Reviews
Joe was great with the dog and sent daily pictures and updates. We will definitely use his services the next time we need someone to watch our dog. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a dog sitter, short term or long term.
Very clear and communicative. Sent cute photos of my dog while I was out so I know that she had a wonderful time!
Very pleased, Beau has found a home away from home. I will definitely recommend Joseph to my friends and neighbors.
We had no worries about leaving Ava with Joe. From our first meet up it was easy to see that Joe knew a lot about dogs and would be an excellent caretaker for our entergetic pup. We especially loved that Ava got to spend time with a pack and go on nice long pack walks. Joe provided a lot of detailed updates and sent us some excellent pictures while we were away!

Are they aggressive towards any types of humans? Are they aggressive towards any types of dogs? Are they up to date with vaccinations? Any medical concerns or medications to take?

OUTDOORS While I have a small, fenced in backyard, I never use it! I live in Locust Point, which is great because I have three parks close by to walk around. Ft McHenry is about a half a mile away and I try to go there daily as long as the park is open. I'm right across the street from Latrobe Park, which includes a fenced in dog park. I, personally, don't visit the dog park a lot only because I enjoy walking my boys so much. Riverside park is about a mile away and has a great loop for walking. We enjoy searching for squirrels, checking peamail and meeting other people and dogs on our treks. INDOORS I have plenty of toys to play with: Ropes, tennis balls, lacrosse balls, kong balls, rubber bones, rubber frisbees, antlers (my boys LOVE these!) and too many chew toys to name. Your pet will be allowed to jump on the couch, if you're cool with it of course (I don't want to start anything...) to cuddle with me and the boys. If that doesn't fancy them I have four large dog beds to relax on.
