Dogs generally find my energy relaxing. I find that each one, in their own way, really is trying very hard to fit in to their family, probably understands more than we think they do, and wishes they could talk. I like to slow down, figure out what they need, and give them a great walk. If you'd like me to work on training as well, I'd be happy to. My golden, "Nessie" is a relaxed and happy dog, and may occasionally join the party.

Joe was awesome watching our 10 month old yellow lab for the weekend! We were friendly with him and his dog Nessie from the local dog park and were super happy to find him on Rover. He sent friendly updates and photos to show that Russell was in good hands. I highly recommend and we will use him again for sure!
Joe took absolutely fabulous care of Wesley. Wes already knew Nessie from our shared dog park, so it was great to have him spend the day with two of his best friends. Joe made sure to give all the love and attention Wesley could ever want, as well as some great outlets for his puppy energy. 100% recommend!
I’d like to show some appreciation for our recent dog walker, Joseph. My gf and I were in a pinch and needed a walker the same day and reached out to Joseph. Fortunately, his schedule aligned where he was able to arrive within an hour of our request! He completed the walk with our boy Tatum and was extremely responsive & transparent with us. It looked like our Golden Retriever was also a massive fan of Joseph too because he was smiling ear-to-ear in every photo. I would highly recommend anyone whose looking for a walker to reach out to Joesph. He was awesome and very reliable. Looking forward to Tatum’s next walk with Joseph! Best walker on the Rover app so far that we’ve dealt with!

Additionally, I find backstory information really helpful. dogs pretty much tell you what they need, but knowing a little of their story makes the work that much easier and interesting for everyone involved.
A typical day
I like to take your dog up to Central Park and walk around for as long as your pup needs. I enjoy nature, and so do most dogs! I enjoy taking the walk at the pace the dog wants to take it at - sometimes that means quickly walking past distractions, and sometimes that means slowing down and smelling each blade of grass. Dogs relax by sniffing, it's like a puzzle. I find that dogs relax better if they've had a good long chance to walk and sniff out their world.
