While Joseph is very friendly, our experience was not satisfactory. Joseph watched our two 6 month old puppies for two days. The key word here being "puppies" which I feel Joseph does not have adequate experience with. There were multiple pee accidents, which came from not enough opportunities for the dogs to go outside (I observed the dogs being taken out of the crates and not taken outside for some time on our camera). There was also a pee accident in one of the bed rooms on the carpet that was not cleaned up. Whether that was from forgetting, or unsupervised dogs, unacceptable. I was on a work trip and CONSTANTLY checking our camera we have set up to watch the dogs because they were crated for the majority of the time. When scheduling a "stay" it implies the sitter will be at the residence majority of the time. This was not the case with our stay. When Joseph first arrived he provided updates via text and sent pictures. That lasted for about 30 minutes. Updates after that time were few and far between. A text response took anywhere from an hour plus, and two phone calls were never answered or returned. The first night of the stay I checked the camera and saw Joseph's OWN DOG in my puppy's crate WITH my puppy. This is absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances. Having to watch my dog be locked inside a crate with a dog I had never met while being unsupervised (Joseph left the residence during this time) was more than stressful being in a different state. Like I stated before two phone calls went unanswered and not returned. Texts were responded to in about an hour requesting that he remove his dog from the crate. I contacted Rover customer support and received an immediate refund for the stay during this time. Instructions were given that one (1) treat should be given to each puppy when they enter their crates. We returned to find an entire bag of treats had been given to the two dogs within 2 days. My one puppy (Calvin) has since defecated in his crate 2 times from an upset stomach, and one morning took four (4) poops in the span on 10 minutes. When checking the camera one time I observed treats being POURED into the crate for the dogs to eat. He has since recovered (mostly) but will be getting a vet check. Once again, unacceptable. Scheduling a dog sitter should be stress free, and if you are on a work trip you shouldn't have to check your puppy cameras while in meetings because you are worried about them.

Joseph does an amazing job walking and watching Maggie. She always gets so happy to see him! He has even helped me train her. We love him!
