Pet care experience
Hello! I am an experienced 38 year old pet expert originally from South Dakota. I grew up with all sorts of critters and have personally owned dogs, cats, tortoises, and fish. My experience taking care of domestic and exotic animals includes having worked for Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown SD, where I looked after everything from timber wolves to camels. I can provide many services, including dog walking and pet sitting, and am comfortable with nearly any animal. We currently have 2 dogs and 3 cats, two of which are seniors and require extra care and attention, and we recently adopted a new kitten. We can offer overnight boarding as long as the pet is a good fit with our pack. I look forward to meeting you and your furry (or scaled) companions!

Joey is absolutely fantastic! Both of my cats have some very specific needs and one takes several medications. He dutifully recorded all of my instructions about feeding and medicating and hit me up with any questions as they arose. He was super cheerful and friendly and I could tell he just has a way with animals. Would 100% recommend him to anyone and will definitely be calling upon him again!
I'm was very happy with Joseph watching my little guy. He was great as was his pack of canine buddies who were super playmates for my dog Dutch. Joseph provided lots of great updates, including pictures and had really quick turn around if I have any questions. I will most definitely use Joseph again.
Joey was great dropping in to feed and water my critters. I will request him again when I need someone to care for my kitties!
Joey was awesome!!!!! His communication was on point. Our pups are on a strict schedule due to our careers and he exceeded our expectations. If available we know who we will call when we need the help!

I am comfortable caring for your pets in their environment, especially cats and senior pets who might prefer to stay at home. I like getting to know your pets preferences and benefit from having a schedule/itinerary for each animal. Special dietary needs and/or medications are not a problem, as I have experience with both. For owners requiring boarding- our senior pets are kept mostly indoors, and the rest of our pack has a nice fenced in yard to run and play in. We can provide a small crate for cats/puppies/small dogs, but prefer owners provide their own if the pet is to be crated. Our dogs are extremely well-socialized and coexist peacefully with both cats and dogs.

We like to know any medical needs as well as personality quirks and schedules/routines right up front so that we can keep your pet as close as possible to how safe and comfy they would feel at home. For example, if your dog has specific fears about loud noises, fireworks, people wearing hats, etc., rest assured we have experience with all of these behaviors (and then some!) and can provide expert level, compassionate care. ❤️
A typical day
We wake up and start the day with feeding time! Once everyone is fed we go outside for morning bathroom time. Any dogs that get walked will be taken before it gets too hot, then pack time indoors. Some pets eat lunch, like our Boon, but most are content with a midday treat. Bathroom breaks occur randomly throughout the day as do opportunities for exercise and play time. Doggy dinner time is around 5pm, followed with more outdoor time. Most pets need an additional bathroom break before bed, and nearly all our pets sleep in our room with us, as there’s plenty of space for them. We treat your pets just like part of our pack and pride ourselves on giving them a 5-star, cozy bed -and-breakfast experience ?

Availability
I work part time, mostly on the weekdays/ in the afternoon, and can accommodate nearly any schedule. I am especially flexible in the summer when our kids are out of school. I typically only book myself out 2 weeks in advance.
