Pet care experience
I am a certified Veterinary Assistant and have worked in an animal hospital setting for 5 years. I have Pet and Human First Aid and CPR. I have extensive experience with special needs animals as I have also been a foster home for Rescue A Boxer. Previously I worked on a SAR team with a Scent Recovery K-9 unit. My entire schooling and career choices have been towards the care of animals. I understand that your pet is your family as mine are to me and I will treat them as if they were my own. We are so grateful we found Jordii! We have four old lady rats who are slowing down and need medical care, and it's been difficult finding exotic pet-sitting services or resources nearby. Jordii not only has personal experience with rats, having had their own large mischief previously, but also has some professional experience dealing with exotics and other animals. They seemed to show a good overall knowledge about rats, their first aid, behaviours, routines, diet and care. Jordii understood how to administer the meds we needed for two of our girls, which gave us so much relief and peace of mind while we were travellling. Jordii has their own large four-storey cage, and we were able to show up with the rats and supplies, and they did a beautiful job setting up a temporary vacation home for them! We received constant updates, videos and pictures, which really helped us relax during our time away. We can see that there was genuine love and excitement for spending time with our rats and it made us feel so much better to have them all in such good hands! Definitely recommend Jordii! Especially for those of us who struggle to find pet-sitting care for exotics!
***Pets of all kinds!*** Jordii took excellent care of my two elderly, special needs rats that require daily medications. The picture updates I received looked like the rats were having the time of their lives and wouldn't want to come home. They got lots of time to explore their new digs outside of the cage, they got lots of cuddles and even got to sample new and exciting foods (with permission, of course). I felt my pets were in safe hands. I will be using Jordii again!
Jordii did an excellent job in taking care of our Duck Toller puppy, Mango! I have full trust and confidence that Mango was well looked after, safe, and having fun while he was there! Jordii was accommodating in our schedule of having to drop the pup off early in the morning and pick him up late at night, and was sure to send me updates throughout the day on how our pup was doing. We are so happy to have found such a great dog sitter!
Jordii was incredible with our 5 month old pup Maple. She provided regular updates and seemed to love Maples company. I was super confident she was in safe hands and having a really fun day! I’ll definitely be booking again. Thanks so much :)

I understand how nerve racking it is to find the right pet sitter. When your animal is in my care I attach a GPS device to their collar in the event that something goes wrong. I walk dogs with a hands free leash around my waist and I only let dogs off-leash in fenced areas once I've built a rapport with your furry friend. I use R+ training and reinforcement methods only. I will not walk your dog on any kind of shock collar, prong collar, choke chain, etc. If an animal is deemed a flight risk, I may double leash them.

A typical day
I have a very friendly Duck Toller at home that loves meeting new dogs and making new friends. I have an assortment of puzzle toys and snuffle mats to keep your animals entertained and to make sure we are having fun! Dogs in my care will go for lots long leashed walks and then take a snooze on the couch.

Availability
Dogs in my care get a minimum of 4 walks a day for a minimum of 20 minutes each time. When we are inside we play with toys and do puzzles!
