He was amazing with Sam! Sam loves him and that makes me happy! Definitely using him again!

This is tough to write because I have never written a bad review. I typically chalk up mistakes as mistakes and move on. But this is different. My family decided on a last minute trip to go camping for the weekend and had to find a Rover sitter quickly. Our dog Floyd is an English Bulldog who was attacked at an early age and never learned to get along with other dogs. Great with humans. But does not get along with other dogs. This is why its very important to us that when we find sitters, they agree to only take one dog at a time. We selected the “ONLY TAKES ONE DOG AT A TIME” button on the Rover filter and found Jordan. We were happy that we were able to find a sitter quickly. When we dropped Floyd off, I heard another dog barking from inside the house. We asked if there was another dog and he said yes. He said they are only keeping the other dog for one more night. We stressed that Floyd does not get along with other dogs. That if another dog is in the same room, Floyd will charge. He said this would not be a problem. We told him, that he needs to make sure anyone else in the house knows this information too. And to keep them separated. He said he would. On Sun we get a photo of Floyd’s paw, his dew claw was detached, bloody and barely hanging on. The raw tissue exposed. Jordan wrote that he just noticed that Floyd was injured and was licking his paw. He said IT DOESN’T LOOK BAD. Again, the entire claw was detached and raw tissue was exposed. He then says that a family dog came in unannounced and Floyd charged at him. When I arrived, both of Floyd paws had dried blood on it. When I looked at his paw it did not look good. When Jordan said, “ It doesn’t look bad” this was completely incorrect. I asked about the incident with the other dog. Jordan didn’t say much. He said the other dog came in and Floyd charged but there wasn’t much fighting. I asked, why this happened since we told him that Floyd shouldn’t be in a house around other dogs. Jordan answered,”there were no other dogs in the house”. Which, yes there was. Apparently one came in unannounced and when I came back to pick up Floyd, again I heard another dog barking from inside. I told him that the injury looks bad. He said, “I texted you guys and no one responded”. Again, we were camping and had no cell service, but I found it infuriating that he was suggesting that we in some way neglected direction to give to to Floyd. We ultimately had to take Floyd to a emergency pet clinic to treat his paw. And for the rest of the day and through the night, Floyd has had uncontrollable diarrhea. I have no idea what happed last weekend, but I know my dog is missing a claw and has uncontrollable digestion problems. Having a dog like Floyd is not a problem. We have used Rover more times than we can count. Even with people that had other pets around. We always reminded them that Floyd needs to be separated and everything was fine. Floyd under Jordan’s care was not cared for properly and that was his responsibility. Sitting pets is not just about collecting money and keeping someone else pet in a house for 48 hours. It’s listening to the concerns of the owner and seeing through that the pet is cared for. Again, his paws were covered in dried, licked blood. And beyond all of that, I have not idea what he must have ate there. We are still trying to get his digestive system back in order. I would strongly urge that if you speak to Jordan about sitting your dog that you have a firm understanding. This is unfortunate and I hope that he pays more attention in the future.
