Pet care experience
My family home (in Western NY) hosts an animal sanctuary and veterinary clinic. I have extensive experience handling all types of animals, from large to small, special needs to hyperactive. I'm patient and I treat your animals like I would want my own treated - with respect, dignity, and kindness. I have my own reliable transportation and have no issue staying at your house to look after your animals. I'm willing to text/email daily updates of your pet(s), and keep you as up to date as possible. I'm well versed in administering medications and can handle complicated feeding schedules. I aim to provide the pet(s) with as normal of a schedule as they would receive from their owners, so their stress and anxiety are minimized. I’ve worked in a 24/7 emergency/specialty animal hospital for 2.5+ years now, here in the Pittsburgh area - so I’ve dealt with all kinds of cases and emergencies.

Jordan is an amazing, caring, and thorough caregiver for pets. Her knowledge of animals combined with her warm personality allowed her to connect with my pets instantly. She knows what to watch for if something goes wrong and updates me regularly on how they are doing. I trust her explicitly to care for my animals, I never have to worry when I’m away. As a veterinarian I cannot express how important it is to me to know I can leave my cats and dogs and they will be properly cared for. I would highly recommend Jordan for any pet care that is needed.
Jordan has house- and dog-sat for our two dogs twice now (3-5 days). She is diligent and thorough about instructions (for example, we accidentally gave her an old version of our instructions, and she immediately asked for clarification about the medications that were listed on the document, because we had not explained them to her when we introduced her to the dogs and showed her the routine). She communicated quickly about everything. In addition, she left the house better than she found it, and the dogs were happy and healthy when we returned. Her experience with (and love for) animals is obvious, and she is our first choice when we are traveling and need a dog sitter to come stay at the house. It's really nice to know the pups are in good hands! I have no reservations about recommending Jordan.
Jordan has been walking our goofy Pitt Bull puppy for the past year and half. Jordan is ridiculously responsible, taking excellent care of Hazel. When it is time for walks, Jordan makes sure that Hazel is fully worn out. Hazel can be a handful, but Jordan never seems to be phased by it -- offering great insights on how we can better train Hazel. Jordan is wonderfully dependable, mature and professional. I highly recommend her.
Jordan is my best friend so perhaps I’m biased but one of my favorite things about her is her love for animals. She wants nothing more than for them to feel safe, loved, and perfectly cared for. She will go above and beyond for any animal to feel as comfortable as possible while left in her care. Along with these wonderful qualities, she genuinely enjoys spending her limited free time with animals.

Location of walks depends on where the client lives, but I am a big believer in the walks being about the dog. Meaning that it's the dogs time to explore, exercise, and stretch their legs. Dog-friendly parks and hiking locations are often favorites.

Availability
I’m starting a new job at the end of June, so I’ll be working a 8-5, M-F. I can do before and after work visits, and weekend visits of course. I can also stay at your house if it’s within 35 minutes of the Strip district.
