Pet care experience
My other half and I own High Tail Canine Specialists a reputable dog training company here in the Treasure Valley. I spend a lot of time, walking, caring for and helping train dogs of all ages shapes and sizes. I have two boys myself, they are Carpathian Shepherds, big sweet boys- weighing in at 120 each- they are big cuddle boys. However, if your dog is not as friendly or doesn't like other dogs we can separate them as our 2 story home is separated by a door.

He is capable, reliable, and energetic which makes him a breeze to work with as a pet parent, but is also enthusiastic, conscientious, and utterly joyful in his interactions with animals. Your pets will have an absolute blast playing, cuddling, and generally living the dream with him! Not only does he excel in day-to-day care, but there is no better man in an emergency. I would expect a list of expectations and routines (feeding time, med time, favorite toys, treats, allergies etc) for your dog when I am coming to your house to watch/walk etc. If your dog was to come to my home, we are very much dog parents here however I would still expect a list of expectations and routines and my goal would be to make the experience and transitions as smooth as possible so that your pup feels at home with me. We can accommodate a wide variety of needs, kennels, off leash or leashed exercise, etc.

It’s very important to me to know about your normal routine with your dog, their play style and feelings about toys, any fears or anxieties they have, and their normal feeding and exercise routines as well as their temperament and feelings about new people and animals. The more I know, the more ready I am to give your pet a great staycation!
A typical day
I take the dogs I care for to Dog Island if they are reliable off leash, and happy around other dogs. My family also enjoys hiking Gulch trails, Jump Creek, or Eagle Island Park. I live near Old Meridian downtown so I also enjoy taking the more social dogs to listen to live music or eat breakfast at the patios in the commons.

Availability
Like I mentioned, I have two boys myself and fortunately, I run my own business. That being said, I set my own schedule so I can plan care for your pup in between jobs/ not schedule work during certain times as to make sure everything is well with your pup (meds, meal times, etc.)
