Pet care experience
Animals of all shapes and sizes have been a part of my life since I was born. I have always had dogs and cats in the house, along with bunnies, lizards, hamsters, guinea pigs and even hermit crabs. You name it, I've probably taken care of one! I am also experienced with horses and other farm animals. I had a horse for 10+ years and have worked off and on as a farmhand/stablehand throughout the last 20 years. I can do turnout, blanketing, feeding, lunging/exercising, mucking and more. I have experience in caring for and being around dogs of all shapes and sizes, but mostly larger breeds. Currently I have 2 husky breeds but have owned and worked with German Shepherds, Great Danes, Newfoundlands, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans and more. I am familiar with the intelligence, challenges and quirks that some breeds are known for. I have always groomed (including nail clipping and teeth brushing) and bathed my own dogs, either in the tub, backyard or at a self-wash center. I have 3 cats of my own currently and all of which get along great with our dogs. My husband says I'm not allowed to bring home any more rescues! When it comes to puppies and elderly pets, I am very familiar and experienced. I adopted and raised animals from all ages to the day they pass. Their needs demands more frequency and attention and I'm prepared to help with this. I can help with your crate training, potty training, basic commands, boundary and leash training when it comes to puppies and younger ages. With your elderly baby, I can help with bathroom needs (including clean up), medications, and giving extra time and care. I will love your fur-babies (or any pet-baby) like my own and adjust my care to your preferences. In addition to showering your pets with love, I know how important it is to help maintain their routine and that also includes being consistent with commands you use, leash behavior, food and medication requirements, and more. I'm more than happy to work with you in finding the best way to help you and your pet with what you need. I appreciate Jordan SO MUCH! We don't usually leave our pup but had a unique situation and needed to leave Milo for a couple of days. I was looking for someone who would be patient with an older dog (he's 12) who is spoiled rotten (but very sweet) and not used to being without his people. Jordan was just the right person! She treated Milo like he was one of the family. I received pictures regularly: I was happy to see Milo resting at Jordan's feet as she worked and later cuddling with her dogs. I knew he felt comfortable in her home - even though he missed us. If we ever need a sitter again, I will DEFINITELY call on Jordan.

Jordan and Michael did an excellent job taking care of our large, active Malinois!! We enjoyed all the pictures and videos too. I think Bruno’s vacation was at least as good as ours! Thank you so much for welcoming him into your family…

I am flexible with picking up and dropping off pets, I have a vehicle that can comfortably fit pets of all shapes and sizes. I am more than happy to come to your home and take care of your babies there. Just instruct me on where things are and what to do and consider it done! My home is large and pet friendly, as I have 5 pets of my own (2 dogs and 3 cats). I have more than enough space to separate pets if needed including pet gates and crates. My dogs get along great with other dogs but would always recommend an introduction if possible. We have a enclosed patio and fully fenced in backyard that offers more than enough space to run in.

Leash handling behavior (any issues, fears, even positive information)? Is your pet on any medications? Is your pet up to date on vaccines (rabies, distemper, kennel cough, etc.)? Is your dog okay with grooming (bathing, brushing, nail clipping, teeth)? Does your pet have separation anxiety? Is your pet crate trained? Do they generally sleep on furniture/bed with you or in their own space? Food feeding frequency, type, supplements? Any history of medical conditions (seizures, joint issues, allergies, infections, trauma, etc.)? Anything your pet doesn't like (spots they don't like to be pet, how to be approached, fears, etc.)? Things your pet loves (throwing a stick/ball, tug of war, digging, tricks, types of treats, etc.)? Is your pet an escape artist (should I be on the extra lookout)? Vet information and emergency contacts? Anything else I should know! I want to be able to make sure your baby is well taken care of and completely comfortable!
A typical day
We love to walk the local neighborhood, whether at my house or yours. For a change of scenery we may head downtown Salisbury and walk the trails, or hit up Pemberton park. At my home we have toys, balls, water games when it's hot out and of course treats! Some dogs love to play with the treat puzzles we have which is a fun challenge. When not playing we love to snuggle inside, share all the loves and watch the animals play together.

Availability
I work a part-time job from home that offers me ultimate flexibility throughout the week. My husband also works from home, so between the two of us there is usually someone always home. This offers me the freedom and ability to curate a schedule with you and your pets!
