Little bit about me: I am an USAF Veteran and am a dog lover. My tenants for dog care: Safety, Compassion, Discipline, Fun. Safety (and security) apply to your dog (and your house) first and foremost. I only walk what can be safely handled, so big breeds are walked individually It's not easy for your dog to be away from you. I exercise compassion so that your dog will feel comfortable. What typically works for me is being playful. Your dog will know that I am in charge when you're not around. I enforce discipline with stern positioning, not with aggression. I don't encourage behavior you don't want your dog to have. Some owners will allow dogs on furniture, others won't. Your rules for your dog is my rules for your dog. Your dog will have fun. Whether that's taking walks, chasing balls, long pets, playful rough-housing (if permitted), or any games they're used to playing. I have worked with breeds such as: Rottweilers, Labradors, Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, and Yorkies. I've lived for years in households with as many as four dogs at a time of varying breed, size, and gender. I have also volunteered at San Antonio Pets Alive.
