I’m an animal lover through and through. My partner and I have two of our own dogs (my senior boy and our 1 year old girl who is the actual sweetest) and we just adopted a kitten. I’m also very active and love throwing around a tennis ball and going on hikes with my pups. I work from home as an artist, so have a flexible schedule and time to devote to animals. I believe in structured training and being diligent (particularly with younger dogs) in keeping up routines, but positive reinforcement is the best training tool, and don’t believe that berating a dog or using force (outside of extreme situations where a dog or person’s safety is in danger) is ever effective. Our girl dog loves to play while my older dog is a bit of a couch potato, so whatever your dog’s temperament and energy levels they’ll have good four legged company as well!
