I have always grown up with pets in the home, so I’ve been around them since I learned to walk. Chores as a child included taking care of our furry friends - feeding, walking, cleaning litter boxes, etc. I adopted my first dog when I was 20 years old, an energetic and playful boxer puppy! I worked with a trainer and learned leash and off-leash training, basic commands, crate training (potty training), grooming, etc. My sweet pup recently passed away from cancer, which (unfortunately) gave me the experience and skills needed to provide care for elderly and ill dogs. I’m experienced with around the clock care of meds and topical treatments as needed, special dietary needs and feeding schedules. My husband and I also took care of his family dog, Dolly, for several years until she passed who also had special needs. In addition to that experience, I frequently dog-sit for my parents, who have an energetic 3 year old boxer-pit mix, my sister in laws dog, and a friends energetic Australian shepherd. I have a love for animals and would be happy to help in anyway I can - whether that’s just getting them some exercise and play time or whatever else it may be you are in need of assistance with!
