Giant to small, All are welcome!

Pet care experience

I started trick training the family dog, a Shih Tzu, when I was thirteen and volunteered to walk my neighbors dogs at that age as well. At fifteen I watched a family friend's Pitbull's when she was away every week for two years. When I turn seventeen I got my first dog, a Doberman mix and I have taken several positive reinforcement dog training classes. He has gotten four titles through the AKC. Three being trick titles, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced and one Canine good citizen (CGC) title. We are currently working on scent work and are training towards his Canine good citizen advanced (CGCA) and Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU). I have experience with nervous and shy dogs to happy and reactive dogs to loves who love to pull and those that want to just want to sniff every flower they encounter.

Jordan is an amazing dog caregiver, she has 2 wonderful dogs that she has taken care of since they were puppies. She worked as a dog sitter for over 2 years when we lived in Chapel Hill NC. She would take care of both dogs while during the day and when on vacation by staying at the home for a couple of days up to a week. She started when she was 15 years old. She is excellent and has a strong work ethic as well as a being truly loving and caring animal person.

When caring for other pets I will go by what the family has instructed me to do because every dog is different. Personally, I crate my own dog while I am away and can not watch him for his safety and the safety of my couch. While he is just chilling while I can supervise him I enjoys indulging in his basket on chews and toys.

Information Jordan B. would like to know about your pet

I have experience with giving medication orally to dogs and with special needs dogs, as well as dogs with medical needs. Please let me know ahead of time what I need to do in order to make your dog comfortable. This includes, - When walking if they pull or have certain commands and how they react towards seeing other dogs, cats, people and wild animals. - When feeding or playing, are they possessive of their things and tend to resource guard and if there are special instructions to do to feed your baby. - In case there is an emergency or something to be worried about I will need your contact information and your Veterinarians contact information and medical instructions I would like to know.

A typical day

I believe for a truly happy dog they need to be both physically and mentally tired. To achieve this I love playing brain games with dogs and using their biology to fulfill them on an instinctual level. Using scent games, puzzles, engaging walks and swimming are a few of my favorites.

I am a student at my local university and have found that I have free time. As a dog lover and current owner of a high drive, high energy dog, I spend a couple hours everyday training and playing with my own dog. From pet friendly stores to walking trails and hiking, we go just about anywhere.
