Therapy Dog and Vet Tech Experience

Pet care experience

I am an extreme animal lover with years of unique experience. I currently have a two year old Labradoodle named Bear! I have worked at a vet office for four years where I was responsible for boarding, grooming, walking, general health, and feeding for dogs, cats, and birds. I also am an experienced dog trainer that has trained six dogs. One of those dogs became certified to be a therapy dog for children! Because of the pandemic I decided to extend my services! I know that it can be nervous feeling leaving your dog or cat with someone unfamiliar with them. Please be assured that your loved ones will be well taken care of and will be given the attention and care that you expect! Thank you very much!

I've known Jonathan for all of his life. He is a fine, trustworthy and completely honest young man. He has cared for my dogs (at that time, 4 greyhounds) when I was away, and his care was exemplary and done in the way I had specified. Jonathan is disciplined and focused on making his life count and to impact this world for good. He is an achiever who knows how to apply himself to the task at hand and accomplish the goals he has been assigned or he has set for himself. He is not afraid of hard work, and dedication is his trademark. Last but not least, Jonathan is a dog person who has owned and loved several dogs in his life so far. He will make a fine dog sitter on Rover.

I had a 12 year old rescue Golden Retriever named Sam. I got him when he was 9. He was my best friend and he helped me survive Graduate school. However, after graduated I was gone for most of the day with my new job and I couldn’t take care of Sam like I needed to do. He had to be taken out to use the bathroom every 4 hours and given 3 different types of medications once in the morning when he ate, and at night after he ate. I was so nervous about asking someone to take care of him for me but I wasn’t ready to let Sam go. Jonathan was a savior for me. He would spend time with Sam and give him lots of needed attention. He would send me pictures of them at the park, going to get pup cups, and meeting new dogs. With his background working at a vet office he clearly understood how to handle the medication Sam needed. I truly believe that because of Jonathan I was able to have more good memories with my best friend. Hiring Jonathan Parker as a dog walker, or care taker for your loved one is a great decision.

I love walking! I walk a lot with my dog everyday. I believe that a walk for a dog should be both stimulating for them, while also providing exercise. Not only will I take your dog on a walk in your area, I also will take them to local parks and open areas so that they can have new smells and experiences!
