Experienced caregiver and dog lover

Pet care experience

My love for and appreciation of dogs began with my first dog, Chip. Growing up with Chip in Oxford, I learned to care for dogs, and came to recognize the important role a dog plays in the life/lives of its owner(s). My current circumstances do not allow me to have a dog of my own. However, I have found it to be incredibly rewarding to care for and spend time with dogs across Oxford over the past three years through overnight stays, drop-ins and walks. It would be a pleasure to meet you and to care for your dog as well!

Jon is a great pet and house sitter! He loves our dog and goes beyond the minimum required by taking her for walks in the woods and playing with her in the yard. Jon is very honest, dependable and responsible.

A typical day

I love hiking, and often enjoy taking larger and more active dogs with me on area trails. I am also a runner, and would gladly take well-trained dogs on short-to-middle distance runs ranging from 2-3 miles. Importantly, however, whether throwing a ball in the yard or taking your dog on a hike, I would be sure to provide a consistent structure for your dog, using familiar commands and maintaining regular behavioral expectations.
