I was not going to write a review when Jonathan watched my dog, I don't want to be that negative guy... but after a wonderful Rover experience with another sitter I simply cannot hold back. Concrete and verifiable things that were disappointing-- my dog was not placed in her kennel after detailed instructions to do so. She was out when I arrived back home. Jonathan stated he took her out 1.5 hours prior to my arrival yet there was feces in the middle of my apartment. Some blankets had the smell of urine. My apartment heat was out for days; I was not made aware so I could ensure bldg mgmt was taking action to make it comfortable for both Jonathan and my dog. The metal handle on my dog's metal kennel was broken-- to do this requires a great amount of force, yet nothing was said. Communication was largely initiated by myself. Non-concrete and unverifiable things related to Jonathan-- my dog was just different upon my return, very withdrawn and almost fearful. This has never happened and wasn't the case with the most recent Rover experience with a different sitter. She had scratches on her belly of unknown origin and she vomited (also unknown origin) for 24 hours when I got back. Based on my other Rover experiences I would look elsewhere.

Jon loves dogs, and dogs love Jon! He is patient, responsible, and loving toward pups of all shapes and sizes. I would definitely trust him with my pet. His caring demeanor makes him my No. 1 choice for a dog walker or sitter. Highly recommend!
