Pet care experience
I rescued my first dog when I was 5! She had to grow through a lot of trauma and fear but with love and proper training she became the best childhood dog I could’ve asked for. Since then I’ve become a regular dog-sitter for friends and others, priding myself on making sure every dog I meet is comfortable around me, and becoming friends with them as well! I’m experienced with crate-training, potty pads, frequent bathroom breaks, senior care such as softening food and mobility assistance, and so on. I trained my second dog since a puppy, and I’m familiar with many basic training techniques that have been necessary with dogs that I’ve taken care of in the past-from mutts and labs to pitbulls and chihuahuas.

I do everything possible to make sure your dog is comfortable and happy around me. I have a small backyard at my own home and will take walks whenever and wherever necessary. There’s nothing I love more than animals, so I’ll spend as much time with your dog as they like… playing, cuddling, training, etc. and I’ll always have two eyes out. I will fully engage in any behavioral exercises or training methods you prefer-if your dog isn’t allowed on furniture at home, we will keep the same philosophy if they’re at my house/under my supervision. Dogs are pack animals, so even if their people are gone I still want them to feel like they’re in a safe pack. Your pet, your rules, just let me know! Otherwise, my main philosophy is making sure we have a great time together!

I am adaptable, experienced and confident in my abilities to deal with any special care your dog(s) may need! If there is anything out of the ordinary, just let me know what it is and the best way to administer it for your dogs maximum comfort.
A typical day
I spend a much of my time outside as possible, and with a dog by my side I’m even happier! I love to bike, hike, run, etc. When there’s a dog with me, there’s nowhere we can’t walk to (with some running as well, especially if your pup is high-energy). I have a car that I’m happy to bring a dog in if we want to drive to a park or recreation area. At home, I love to cuddle, wrestle, play or simply relax across the room from a dog. I love dogs too much to let my attention be divided from yours!

Availability
I’m a Fort Lewis student with a relatively free schedule. I have classes that are not difficult to work around, and have free days in every week., I’m able to spend most of my time wherever I need to be, and my weekends are almost always free.
