Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Jon, an animal advocate and dog lover. Dogs have burrowed and sniffed their way into my heart since I was young. I have had several dog companions with whom I’ve shared my home. Currently, I don’t have any dogs of my own; instead, I enjoy time with the ones I care for. Over the past five years, my wife and I have worked part-time during the snowbird season in Palm Springs, taking care of many pampered pooches. During the summer, we travel, caring for dogs, cats, fish, frogs, and other animals throughout the country and the United Kingdom. I’m new to Rover and thought it would be an excellent way to meet some new pups. If your dog requires an exercise or pleasure walk, I am happy to help. Overnight stays can also be easily arranged. This was our first time using Rover, and therefore our first time having Jon walk our dog. We asked Jon to come by each day at 7, as it gets pretty hot here in the desert quite early in the morning. Sammi is used to hour long walks as well. We can say Jon did not disappoint! He was at our house every morning at 7 on the nose and gave our Sammi a full hour walk each day. They walked a mile plus on each journey and Sammi looked forward to seeing him every day. Could not have asked for a better experience!
Jon has taken care of our Ms Moki many times and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He’s a great guy, very dependable, and Moki loves him, so it’s a win all the way around. Whether you need dog walking or someone to stay in your home with your furry tribe member while you’re away, Jon’s the guy. Your dog will love him and your house will be well taken care of too!
I can't recommend Jon enough, He took exceptional care of my dog and home while I was away. Not only did he ensure that all of my pooch's needs were met, but he also went the extra mile to keep my home tidy and secure. It was such a relief to know that everything was in capable hands, allowing me to not worry during my time away. He's the first person I'll call the next time I need a pet sitter. Jon stayed at our place and looked after our rescue French Bulldog, Frankie. She's a little nervous around strangers but Jon has the magic touch - he was able to befriend her within a couple of walks and during his 3 day stay she really took to him. He took the best care of her, shared photos so we could check in, and we came home to find her healthy and happy and our place looking great. I can't tell you how valuable it is to have someone like this to look after our pup - she means the world to us, we do our best to keep her happy, and Jon did a wonderful job - would very much recommend him!
