We love dogs, but we don’t want the commitment so we’ve taken on the role of sitting as a family. Over the years we’ve had several dogs in our home, ranging from 1 night to 3 weeks, all different breeds, and up to three dogs (from the same home) all at once for a weekend. It’s important to us that your dog is comfortable so we ask for lots of instructions from you, as the owner, as we strive to maintain as much of your pup’s routine as we can, while heaping loads of love and attention on them as they adjust to their temporary environment. We love to take them for walks and our kids really enjoy playing with them. In the evening, they’ll get a lot of snuggles to help wind them down for a good sleep - in their crate, on the floor, on the couch or in our bed (if that’s what they need). We know how special pets are and we feel honoured anytime someone chooses to trust us with theirs!

Our 3 dogs had a beautiful stay with Martin and Jolene and their sweet kiddos. We were very much at peace over the weekend they had them as originally it was their first stay away from us and my husband was very nervous to hand over our dogs to people he didn’t know. The dogs adjusted great other than some accidents and after the first day and picture updates from the family my husbands mind was quite at ease. There are no hesitations for booking with them in the future (we’ve already got our next stay booked) and we are both blessed and thankful that we now have a loving and affordable option for when we go away next. Book with them, you will not be disappointed!!!!!! They were wonderful people and we also also liked that they are helping their own kids learn responsibility by helping with the dogs and that they were brave enough to take on all 3 of our pooches.
Jolene And Martin have been so kind to take our Bentley for us when we go away. They are very kind, animal loving people. Their kids love being able to help care for the animals too. I know our Bentley is given lots of snuggles and extra love while he is when them. No doubt, he is in good hands with the Harders'!
Jolene and her family have been so amazing to our girl Molly. Molly has stayed with Jolene on numerous occasions and it gives us peace of mind to know she is well cared for and loved in our absence. Jolene stays in touch with us and also sends photos along the way. We highly recommend Jolene to care for your pets!
Jolene is so sweet and genuine. Ive known her and her family for about 10 years and only recently got a dog. It was amazing to have her family take Winslow and care for him while away. They took exceptional care for him and we'll definitely bring him back there this summer.

Any inconvenience for us is temporary and for them a new environment without their people can be intimidating so whatever they need, we do our best to provide it. Lots of walks, playtime, outdoor time in our fenced yard, middle of the night potty breaks (if they happen to wake up), car rides, etc.

A typical day
It’s all about what your dog needs. We like to play tug-o-war with their toys, we can chase them around the house or backyard. If fetch is what they like, we can do that too.

Availability
I (mom) work from home so my schedule allows ample time to ensure your pup has lots of attention. The kids and my husband are home during the evenings and weekends…more opportunity for love, playtime and walks.
