My family and I have always owned dogs and as an only child, they also came to be my best buds. My affinity for dogs runs quite deep. So much so that one of my first jobs was as a bather at PetsMart. There wasn't a single other teenage I knew that wanted a job where they got wet, smelly, potentially nipped, and had to do the dirty work of things like cleaning ears and expressing anal glands. However, I loved it so much that I went on to become a certified groomer. I continued with that work on and off for 7 years. It was my primary job as a college student, then a second gig during my first few years as a teacher. I have remained in the field of education, for 11 years now, and I have the privilege of working from home. I recently lost my pup and would love to open up my home to yours so we can be great company for another. When I'm not working from home, you can typically find me volunteering at our local animal shelter. It's turned out to be my home away from home.
