Hi friends! My name is Johnna and I’ve cared for/owned dogs for many years. My doggy Max is an ornery, leash reactive, dog-unfriendly fellow who “keeps me humble” whenever we’re out and about! I’ve learned the fine art of pulling him into the weeds, hiding behind cars and swiftly turning in the other direction to avoid leash reactivity with other dogs (who can relate? lol). You can rest assured that if your dog is reactive, or even a little anxious, I’ll tend to their needs without judgement! I pride myself on being a competent and trustworthy person who will put your mind at ease with detailed updates, sweet photos and a level of affection that mirrors your own. I am available throughout the day as I currently stay home with my son. During the week, he will accompany me on these adventures, but rest assured, he is very gentle and respectful with animals. We look forward to becoming your pets new loved humans!

We hired Johnna before her and her husband moved to make our mornings + lunch breaks a little less hectic. We have a 3 y.o. Lab mix and a 9-month-old Pitt mix. We asked Johnna to come to our home every morning (around 8:30) and every afternoon (between 12-1:30 pm) to walk our dogs, fill their water bowls, etc. I cannot begin to describe the relief Johnna brought to our family. First of all, our dogs absolutely loved her. It brought my wife and I peace of mind to know that our dogs were getting the attention that they deserved (we both work full-time)! Secondly, Johnna consistently went above and beyond the call of duty. She played with our dogs, she took them on extra long walks and just generally gave them so much affection. It was worth it for us to have someone as reliable and loving as Johnna to give our girls the attention and care they needed so that my wife and I could focus on the things that we needed to get done. No more running home to "quickly" let out the dogs! Thank you, Johnna, for all you have done for us! We miss you!
Johnna is the foremost caretaker for your furry friends. She has shown substantial reliability , and is of utmost trustworthiness. I feel comforted knowing that Debbie is in good hands while I'm at work. She goes out of her way to make a difference in Debbies life, and has become part of our family. I have total confidence with her guardianship, and recommend her to everyone!
My husband and I have five animals: three dogs and two cats. Two of the dogs are bigger (one is 55 pounds and the other 80). We had to fly to California for a long weekend in August, and I was terrified about leaving them all alone with a sitter. Johnna was like a second owner to them. One of our cats is super shy, and will hide from strangers. She would peek under every single bed and couch until she could find him and make sure he ate. Our littlest dog has a bit of separation anxiety, and had diarrhea all over our brand new carpets. Without a second thought, Johnna cleaned up the carpets and gave him a nice long bath. She always went above and beyond to make sure every single animal was comfortable, happy, and loved. I 100% will be using her again. We came home to a clean house, super happy animals, and a huge sense of relief. If you think your pets are too much for Johnna to handle, think again. She tackles any type of behavior issue with ease, and treats your pets like they're her own.

It is important that your dog is child friendly if you are booking during the week. My son doesn’t need to pet or engage with the dog, but he will accompany me in his stroller when we walk. I would also like to know if your dog is leash reactive to other people/animals so that I can manage accordingly. If your dog has any special needs in terms of their physical health, I would like to be aware of this as well!
A typical day
I love to ease the anxiety of your absence by giving your dog lots of love and affection. I’ll take them on long walks to ensure they get exercise and have the opportunity to sniff around! If they like to play fetch or release some energy through tug of war, I’ll gladly join in!

Availability
Previously working full time in the counseling field, I now stay home with my son! We are available from 8-1:00pm and again from 3:30–10pm on weekdays and throughout the day and night on weekends.
