Hello there! My name is John and I live with my best friend Alfie the Labrador. I adore dogs and canine company, often preferring it to that of human beings. I have grown up with dogs in my family and have brought up a few of my own as an adult. I am familiar with most of the dogs in my neighbourhood and some of them visit or escape to visit regularly for treats, walks and sleepovers. Having seen how much I love dogs, my own dog minders suggested that I start offering doggie day care and walking services myself. I would like this to develop into full time career eventually. I am also hoping to start a dog grooming course and become qualified at some point soon. There may be times when I am only available at weekends depending on my work situation but please keep an eye on my calendar or feel free to enquire in case I have forgot to update it.

From the initial meeting with John and Alfie I could tell Tiny and Pepper were in safe hands, they seemed right at home from the day we dropped them off. John kept me and my wife updated the entire time we were away with photos and videos, and kept us up to date with their day to day routine. I could not recommend John's services more highly and will definitely be using John again. 10/10 ☆☆☆☆☆
Really liked John! He was very welcoming and my dog Alfie instantly was relaxed with him and his dog. I got regular updates and photos and felt that Alfie was being treated really well. Will use again
x I have known john for more than 30 years and immediately I could see the passion and affinity he had towards dogs. The way that they respond to him shows how must they trust him. During a recent meeting i met up with john and his dog alfie and discovered alfie was going blind. But this hasn't stopped either of them. Watching how john has developed a new way of communicating with alfie to help guide him and live a normal life is truly inspirational. He really does know what dogs need and how to understand them.
John and I have been friends for 16 years. Our two loves are dogs and music! John’s own dog “Alfie” is such a gentle, happy dog, that’s testament to John’s love, care and the training that he has provided for Alfie. I volunteer at an animal rescue centre and John likes knowing about the dogs in our care and how they’re doing. Your dog will be more than safe with John. It will be loved and cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave my dog with him.

It is very important for me to ascertain whether dogs are well socialised and tend to get along with other dogs. Therefore, meeting and greeting before bookings are confirmed is advisable. At all costs, I would prefer to avoid bad vibes, heckles and fighting. I certainly would not wish to put my own dog or any dogs within my care at risk.
A typical day
My house is in a semi rural location, away from busy roads and backs on to woodland with a very convenient woodland walk. I also have a large garden. Nowhere in the house is sacred as far as dogs are concerned, they are allowed to relax on the sofa and my bed if they wish.
