Growing up I had a yellow lab (75 pounds) and he was my best friend. I lived with them for 4 years after college, attending to two dogs (Klause and Douglas) everyday. I walked, fed, medicated, and played with them as much as I could. Klause was a hand full because he loved to chase squirrels up trees, seeing that he was a catahoula leopard, he could. My dogs weren't well acclimated with other dogs, so I'd take them on long walks instead of going to the park. I learned how to handle their behavior well and I'd love to hang out with more dogs now that I'm in NY. Growing up with dogs really taught me awareness of and how to care for their needs.
