Pet care experience
I’ve owned dogs most of my life, and in the last 20 years I have had 4 weimaraners from puppy-hood to end of life. I have a large, fenced-in backyard, and since I recently retired, have lots of free time on my hands. The past year I have also cared for a cat (my daughter’s, but they have moved away), so have learned to love the feline pets as well.

John was excellent. We felt like he really got to know our dog, Cameron, and he sent photos to us everyday while we were away. John was fantastic to communicate with, and we felt great leaving Cameron with him while we were gone for the week. Would highly recommend John, and would absolutely work with him again!
John was fantastic! Responsive, thoughtful, careful to understand individual dog quirks. I think they just hung out together in the backyard the whole stay. Would highly recommend!
I’ve finally found a sitter that I trust with my puppy. I know she’s in good hands with John and Cissy! 😊
Jack had a wonderful stay, well taken care of, indulged and happy when I picked him up. John was incredibly kind and helpful!

In the home is only my wife and I and no other pets since our beloved ones have recently passed away. We have a fenced-in backyard. We also have a pool, but would rather keep pets out of it. We have cared for puppies to aging dogs, and can accommodate whatever regimen you prefer. We also like to go on walks and hikes, if that is an option you would your pets to receive.

While we can be very accommodating it would be great to know beforehand if your pet has special quirks or needs. Different personalities are fine and expected, but we just want to know before in order to provide your pet the best transition from your care to ours.
A typical day
Depends on the dog, but for active dogs we like to go on walks, and I’ve played fetch so much over the years I’ve become a “switch thrower” (can throw with either arm). For couch potatoes, we’re also down with chilling and love to pet those furry beasts.

I am currently retired and spend most days outside when the weather is nice or indoors. We do take trips once in a while, but for the most part our weeks are wide open.
