Walking is a big part of my life. My wife and I both love dogs, we have owned a beagle in Ireland, a collie and a lab / greyhound cross in England. We live in a rural, gated community that backs onto a state park. We are physically active, recently retired professionals who do not want to be restricted by owning a dog but are keen to enjoy being with dogs and having a dog to accompany us on walks. Our daughter has a dog and she introduced us to the idea of looking after dogs for other people, in fact she stayed with us while looking after a dog for someone else.
