I currently live with four small dogs who are all rescues. Each has their own quirks and ticks, but I can't imagine being without them. I am a diligent, capable person who is strong enough to keep dogs out of trouble and in line, but gentle enough to provide comfort and love when it's needed. My dogs have all sorts of health and emotional issues, but they have a loving home with everything they need, including two caring humans who don't mind going the extra mile to make sure the furry folks know they're loved. I have always viewed dogs as part of the family, and treat them as equals rather than as a owned piece of property. I extend this approach to all dogs, not just those who live with me.
