Pet care experience
Hello! I've been fortunate to grow up with dogs of my own and I've been around other family's dogs (and other pets of all kinds) since I was a small child. I've always loved animals and I've dog/house-sat for friends and coworkers for many years. As far as my professional experience goes, I spent 7 years in the Air Force as an EMT and was a firefighter for 2 years once my enlistment was finished. I'm now going to school full time as a pre-med student with the goal of one day becoming a doctor. Being a full-time student, my schedule is very flexible and I can adapt to whatever you may need from me in regards to the care of your pets. My goal in using this app is to care for animals while simultaneously working towards my dream. Beyond paying for rent, money is not my motivation. I hope to show each of you that as I build my reputation as a trustworthy and caring pet-sitter.

John stayed in our home for 8 days, caring for our cats and our special needs dog who required daily insulin injections. He did a wonderful job caring for our babies and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for someone to care for their beloved pets.
John was great with our boys. He sent pictures and updates every day. It was a comfort knowing that our guys were being so well taken care of while we were gone!
John is the perfect sitter. Our dogs love him and he works so hard to make them (and us) comfortable. He is reliable, pleasant and always keeps us to date every day. We - and our furry friends - think he is great.

I live in an apartment with a roommate who has a rather large Cane Corso (he's very sweet though) so boarding at my place is not feasible. With that being said, I am happy to care for your pets in your own home! I know I would be leery of letting some random person from an app into my home, so I will happily meet with you prior to establish trust before any house/dog sitting within your own home. Should you feel uncomfortable with me caring for your animal, I will completely understand. With that being said, I want to reiterate that I am no thief or swindler. I just love animals and would love to help out other animal owners & lovers while I go to school. The money I earn on this app is pretty much entirely for rent. The real reward for me is getting to spend time with animals in between class and homework.

I'm very flexible and adaptable. My only real concern is making sure you are comfortable so whatever information you feel is relevant to the care of your pet I will happily accept. I don't have any stipulations on the kinds of dogs I will or will not care for. I love them all.
A typical day
Outside of taking your dog on a nice walk around the neighborhood, I'll confer with you (the owner) on whatever you're comfortable with. I don't like to take risks with other people's animals (just as I wouldn't want others to take risks with my own animals) so I'll only do whatever you are comfortable with. If I'm house/dog sitting for you, there will be plenty of walks and playing with whatever toys they may have (the usuals like tug-of-war and fetch etc...). If I'm just dropping in for a visit or a walk, I'll take them wherever you are comfortable with for as long as you are comfortable with!
