I'm retired and enjoy spending time with my dog Gracie. Gracie is a 4 year old Old English sheepdog. She and I do daily walks to the dog park. She gets along well with other dogs. We have a large fenced yard for outdoor play. Our house is dog friendly and while I don't usually allow dogs on the furniture I have dog beds for everyone. For many years I had a two dog household so I'm looking forward to having guest dogs at the house. I'm located close to the Avalon dog park so if your dog enjoys off leash play it's easily available. And for those rainy muddy, not so nice days we have Diefenbaker park and river walks as a back up plan.
