Pet care experience
I've own animals all my life and my daughter set me up for dog walking and I realized that I absolutely love it. I have always been passionate about helping and working with animals but the shelter I had volunteered at a long time ago was kind of a depressing environment so that wasn't the best place for me. I couldn't stand animals not finding homes and back then part of the job was putting them down and I couldn't do that. After that experience I never tried to work professionally with animals until somewhat recently when my daughter showed me some apps and got me started. Being able to help people and their dogs or cats has really given me a purpose.

I have a fenced in backyard where dogs can go out and play. I try to make sure that when boarding dogs in my home I take them out for at least one or two longer walks and just really use the backyard for quick bathroom breaks. I have my own dog who is fantastic with all other dogs who will be in my home.

A typical day
I love taking dogs out on long walks and even running a bit if they are able to. I try to keep the walks interesting for each dog and allow them to be stimulated mentally (sniffing and exploring) as well as physically in the walk itself.

Availability
I currently watch my granddaughter Tuesdays during the work day but can always pick up a walk after dropping her off. I work mostly on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
