Pet care experience
I have always loved dogs. I have grown up with dogs in the house and raised either friends dogs or girlfriends dogs as an adult now. I have always wanted my own but never followed through with it. This opportunity is a great way for me to be around dogs and find out what breed will really suit my lifestyle. I am active which means your dog will be too. Your dog will love me.

John was great. He sent us lots of pictures (everyday) and Bevo was tired and happy when she came home!
John was able to watch the bambino super last minute in a pinch. She came back exhausted so I think she partied hard and after being away myself nothing is better then the snug sesh I got from her when we got home. Thanks John !
John loves all animals, but he's especially good with dogs. He helped me raise my Bernese Mountain dog (Kenai) and I could not have done it without him. He volunteered to cover the night and early morning shifts. He took him to the vet. He helped me train him. He was intuitive and kept him safe. Kenai absolutely adored him. When Kenai's health started to fail, John stepped in and helped me every step of the way. John is active, mature, and very loving. Your dog will have the best time and receive the BEST care with John. He's top notch.
I have known John for almost a decade now. I've seen him happy about a lot of things, but never as happy as when he's playing with dogs! I would let him care for my animals anytime, as he is so passionate about pups. John hikes constantly, both around the city as well as out in nature, ensuring your dog would get all of the proper activity it desires.

Generally I would like to know of any bad habits such as pulling, or barking when they see other dogs. Breed preferences would be Bernese Mountain Dog, any Bulldog, Labs. Those are just three of my favorites but am happy to host any breed.
A typical day
If the weather is nice out we will be walking around the neighborhood at least three times a day. In addition I head up to Mt Hood and enjoy day hikes, usually I head back through Hood River that has a lot of water access. I also live six blocks away from Irving park which is a great place to run off leash. Either way your dog will be happy and tired by the end of each day.
