Pet care experience
Donna and I started taking care of dogs when we lost our Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Dutchin. We got her when she was 3 months old and she was our baby. When she crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we couldn't bring ourselves to get another dog, but wanted to still experience the joy that dogs bring to our lives. We decided to provide both care and a safe, loving home for other people's pets while their humans are away or otherwise unable to care for them short-term. This way, we can give you peace of mind in knowing your best friend is safe and happy, and we get to interact with all kinds of dogs, which gives us great joy! Your friend will get all the love and attention you give them; and, well, if we spoil them a bit too much, sorry (not sorry)!

We went on vacation and left our puppy Eggo for the first time. John and Donna made sure Eggo was well taken care and immediately put our minds at ease. They were very friendly and approachable, they treated Eggo like he was their own baby! They also made sure to keep us updated everyday with a phone call/text messages and photos. Donna and John are great to work with and we fully trust them with our pup. They communicated well before and during our trip and it was clear our dog settled in quickly and was comfortable throughout. We'll be asking them to sit again for sure!
John & Donna we’re great with Porter while he stayed with them for a few days. Porter could play ball safely in their backyard while I was at peace knowing he was getting enough exercise. Donna & John kept in touch with regular updates and pictures and are super responsive. We will definitely have them look after Porter again!!
Donna and John were excellent hosts during my labradoodle's week-long stay with them. They were easy to communicate with and very professional. They sent lots of photos and updates. My dog, Piper, seemed relaxed and happy. I highly recommend John and Donna, and I plan to use them again myself.

We have a large fenced-in yard where your dog can run and play off leash safely. Are your pets used to making themselves at home on the couch? Not a problem! They are more than welcome to snuggle up on ours. If you wish to make your pet a little more at home, you may bring your pet's bed, toys and/or crate.

We have taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages, with various needs and health concerns, including diabetic dogs and those with anxiety. We would love to set up a meet & greet with you and your dog to answer any questions and ensure compatibility. Thank you for your consideration.
A typical day
We live right across from Maudslay Park it is a great place to walk the dogs we watch. We will also play ball or frisbee in our yard! Sometimes we even go for a ride to the beach!

Availability
We are both retired, so we have plenty of time to care for your pets whether in our home or yours. We are available for walks, drop in visits and overnight boarding in our home. When boarding with us, your fur baby will never be alone as someone is always home.
