Pet care experience
I grew up caring for many dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I currently have a dog (Osa) for almost 5 years now that has anxiety so I know first hand how much patience and extra care is needed to handle a dog. Each dog is different and understanding how to motivate and make them happy is a passion of mine. I am a dog trainer and can do private training sessions! I would love to use my many years of experience and passion to help care, and train other dogs. Also, I take really great dog pictures and videos. This will be included in each session for the updates and for you to keep!

Where do I even begin?! John has been a godsend to my Pitty, Aubrey and I. The moment he met Aubrey on our meet and greet, I could tell he knew what he was doing and was comfortable, which made me comfortable! Not only has John watched Aubrey, but he’s taken the extra time and care to teach and train her. I can tell he has a real love for animals, as well as being very personable, professional, and compassionate to towards Aubrey’s needs. Aubrey was rescued at 3 months old and has developed some aggression issues with other dogs, so she is not an easy one to walk at times. She also was diagnosed with a severe heart murmur and underwent a pulmonary balloon valvuloplasty, which John has been very mindful off. John has exceeded my expectations with knowledge and tools to help me help my furchild. 😊 John even brought high grade treats from home to help train Aubrey. He’s been dependable and consistent. He sends amazing photos and videos throughout the day. 10/10, highly recommend. Will be working with John as long as we can. :)

I will care for your pet like it was my own Doggo! I will make sure to follow any food restrictions and house rules. I will make sure your dog is comfortable in anything that we do and hope to help them desensitized as needed! I love building that trust and confidence in dogs when it’s possible. I will make sure we have permission when engaging other dogs and observing other dogs to see if it’s safe to engage. If your dog is reactive in general, I will make sure to avoid any engagement with other dogs/people as instructed. It gets real hot here so I will monitor temperature through the day to ensure if your dog can go for longer walks or shorter ones. Keeping your dog safe and comfortable is my #1 priority!

I would like to know any food allergies and any known triggers we should avoid such as other dogs, people, certain places and action/activities. What motivate your dog such as what treats, type of play and type of praise should be used. What commands/training your dog already knows so I can properly handle and care for them. The more information the better. I'd love to get to know your dog in anyway possible to provide the best possible care and experience!
A typical day
Each dog is different so I will make sure to do what your dogs enjoy! I can walk for older and lower energy dog or jog/run for higher energy dog! I can play fetch and tug-a-war with your dog as well and can keep up with all sizes. For mental stimulation, light obedience training throughout with plenty of rewards (praise, treats and play) that's appropriate for your dog. I will be walking where your dog is familiar with. If there's a park near by and your dog is comfortable with that area, we will definitely go there! I'm open to exploring other areas too and will make sure your dog is comfortable and safe as we explore.

I currently work from home and have flexibility throughout the day to provide pet care. 1 day in advance is preferred, and I can do same day with a few hours in advance notice.
