I really engage with the dogs I will dog sit. Dogs are just like humans, and I treat them as such. My actions / decisions will be based on first the clients’ instructions, and how a human would respond in a given situation. For example, I dog sat my friend’s Pitbull mix last month. When the dog walker was walking him, the dog didn’t need to go to the bathroom. When I came home, I fed him and noticed that he kept pawing at the door. I instinctually took him to the bathroom right after dinner. Similarity, I dog sat my cousin’s dog for over two years. I took him to go to the bathroom right after he hopped out of my bed, just like a human.
