Pet care experience
I’ve always had dogs since a very young age so am very used to looking after them. Throughout the last 10 years I have looked after family and friends dogs for varying amounts of time - whether it be for the day or for a week while they are on holiday. I am an active person so dogs fit into my routine well. (Please do let me know if you’d like me to take your dog running with me!) I have had my own dog (a very friendly whippet) for a year and a half now, and he always welcomes company.

Our dog had the best overnight stay with John! John was really easy to communicate with, kept us up to date and we picked up a very happy looking dog.
John is obviously great with dogs and my two had a great overnight with him. We did a quick meet and greet on drop off and both of my pups were really comfortable and ran off without any fuss. Moreover I had booked a few previous booking with John, which I had to cancel on the day, and he was really considerate and understanding. Highly recommend.

I live in a secure gated community with green space and a further gated private garden. I’m also very short walks away from lots of great parks and places to take dogs. These include safely enclosed areas. My dog (duck, whippet) lives with me and would love to have a mate to play and cuddle with!

A typical day
A typical day for my dog and I will be a 30-45 minute walk to the local common first thing in the morning to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. We will then head out for an hour at lunch to an enclosed area where we lose the leash, work on recall, play fetch and general running around in no particular direction (sighthound owners can relate I’m sure). In the late afternoon we’ll go for a shorter walk around the cemetery near me - this is great for sniffing around and meeting the other dogs on the specified ‘dog route’.

Availability
Currently working part time and remotely, so I have lots of time to look after dogs. A lot of my day revolves around fun and interesting things I can do with my own dog - he and I would love to add another to the mix.
