I am Mrs. Doolittle. I am an animal whisperer. Every animal has potential. I love to discover their personality to help them thrive better. I fostered German shorthair pointers over a period of time, trained and adopted them out. I have rescued, trained, owned and raised dogs for 40 years. I have also rescued guinea pigs, rabbits and horses. I am an equine sports massage therapist and work on large and small animals with injuries. Your pet will be treated with love, respect and warmth when they are in my care. Animals are drawn to my demeanor and Feel safe around me. I provide a loving environment for young and old, or challenged pets. They will feel like a part of my family and relaxed in my home.

Johanna is awesome! We never leave my dog but had to go somewhere without him and chose to leave him with Johanna. I was very nervous that he would just lay down and be sad without his parents but I was so wrong! He had a great time! He went swimming, went for a walk and played ball.. all of his favorite things! ? Johanna sent photos of Brady which showed how much fun he was having. When I went to pick up Brady, Johanna shared stories about Brady’s day which showed us how much they both enjoyed their time together. I also booked last minute and Johanna was accommodating. If you need a trustworthy dog sitter, message Johanna!
I have known Johanna for over 15 years, and have never met anyone who loves animals as much as she. She has and has taken care of everything from dogs to horses and guinea pigs. I have a black lab who is VERY special to me. When she was still a pup my daughter had an emergency medical issue and needed emergency surgery. I did not even think twice when we needed a place to keep her while we were up in dartmouth. We dropped her off with Johanna and never had to worry for a second. When we got her days later she was happier then she has ever been, and took a blanket from her house that she still sleeps with today! I would not leave any of our pets in the care of anyone else!
Johanna has been caring for our animals over the years. She always pays close attention to our pets specific needs and keeps us up to date on how they are doing. Her home is welcoming and very pet friendly (not to mention the large yard). Couldn't ask for a better person to take care of our pups!

A typical day
There is a park 2 blocks away which is dog friendly. There are trails and a pond near my home. I will take them for rides in my car and let them run in fields or swim. I love to hit a tennis ball with my racket in a field and have them retrieve it. I'll chase after them and find the ball with them. I like to get to know their nature by finding out how THEY like to play. Each breed is very different. Understanding how they think and what energy level they have, will determine if we are active or lovey. some dogs like to snuggle more than play. Field dogs require more physical outlets and service dogs like to be mentally challenged. I have had Dobermans ( service) GSP's(field) and handicapped dogs that require more TLC.
