Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Joelle and I recently moved from Philly to Wilmington, DE for work. My partner and I currently have three cats and just adopted a beagle/corgi mix! I’ve been pet-sitting dogs and cats for family, friends, neighbors and Rover clients for over 13 years and can’t imagine doing anything else with my free time! I am able to care for and have previous experience with up to 6 animals at a time. I'm currently offering drop-in care, dog walking, doggy day care, and house sitting. There aren’t enough good things to say about Joelle! She was communicative, kind, compassionate, and respectful in every way - with our animals and their quirks, our home, etc. She sent us pictures and was prompt in all responses. This also was a last minute request due to a previous sitter following through. Such a treasure to find her, and we look forward to working with her much more! Thank you, Joelle!
Joelle did a fantastic job for us. One of my dogs can be skittish around new people, especially when we’re not there, and Joelle was very patient and understanding. I will definitely become a repeat customer.
Joelle was wonderful with our puppy, Chase! She was prompt to respond, came for a meet & greet beforehand, and sent great photos/videos. They went on a walk, got some playtime in, and a little snack. I could tell Chase was comfortable and happy! It was the perfect break for him. I will definitely call on Joelle again to check in on Chase.
Joelle was an amazing sitter. Both of my dogs loved her and she made sure they were well taken care of. Received lots of updates and pictures! 10/10 would book again!

My goal while your pet is in my care is to create a relaxing and stress-free environment for them. I prefer to care for animals in their home so that they are in an environment they are familiar with while also being surrounded by their favorite toys/things. I’m also big on routine and positive reinforcement! In my opinion, following the same routine as normal helps reduce stress on your pet while you’re away and I’m more than happy to recreate those routines for them.

I greatly appreciate when pet owners share the following about their pets: - general energy level - reaction to new people - reaction to other dogs both inside and outside the home - feeding schedule - potty schedule - medication schedule (if they have any) - location(s) of all of their supplies - if they are or are not allowed on furniture - favorite toy - favorite place to hang out/things to do - anything you know they do not like (food, human behaviors, etc.) Anything additional you can share is also much appreciated, the more I know the better I can care for your pet! :)
A typical day
You can expect lots of playtime to help tire everyone out! Everything else is up to you :) If you’d prefer I do some training of basic (or not so basic) commands, a nice long walk, or a visit to the dog park just let me know!

Availability
I work full-time and have a pretty flexible hybrid schedule. Most of my weeks are 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home and these days can be moved around as needed - especially to accommodate house sitting/doggy day care requests! While my work from home days change from week to week, I usually try to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays. For Mondays-Wednesdays when I am in the office I typically have the following availability (with some flexibility): Before 8:00am 12:00-1:00pm After 4:00pm If you feel like I would be a good fit for you and your pets but aren't sure if the schedules would line up well, please reach out! I am happy to switch my in-the-office days with work-from-home days if needed :)
