I adopted Jagger less than a year ago. He's almost 8 and this is the first time we've been apart overnight. Not just ONE night...but SEVERAL nights. As he exhibits separation anxiety, I was exhibiting plenty of my own anxiety as I left him with Joel, hopped on a plane, and headed to DC. Almost immediately, I received photos of Jagger relaxing on the living room rug...not standing at the door and barking and doing his 3-foot back leg leaps to see if I'm visible out the window. Then came the video of him running like a madman in the backyard playing chase with Louie who is a much larger playmate. CLEARLY he was having a blast. More photos (including one from the "we were checking in remotely" cam showing him chilling on the couch)...more videos...more messages. Jagger was very comfortable and was being treated like a prince by everyone in the household. He played with Louie who was careful with a smaller dog, found a squeaky toy that I'm sure drove the household crazy, & got a pampered at home spa day (because he smelled better when I picked him up than he EVER has after a REAL spa day). Joel was the EPITOME of what Rover wants in a sitter...nice, responsive, understanding, and attentive. Jagger can't speak but if he could, he'd be asking to go back...SOON. He misses Louie and a social life with plenty of attention from more than one person. I have to step up my care...Joel sets a REALLY high bar.
