Pet care experience
I grew up with a dog (sturdy wheaten terrier), and now my family has two (adorable havanese). I have done my part caring for our dogs by feeding them, bathing and grooming them, cleaning up after them, and taking them on WALKS!

My fluffy boys can be a handful, and Joel did a great job caring for them. He provided playtime and cuddles, and gave me regular updates while I was away. He was responsible, following my instructions for walks and feeding time. One of my dogs is quite shy, and warmed up to Joel right away. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a reliable dog sitter!
Joel is thoughtful and kind-hearted. He formed a bond with our dog, and left us with a very clean house. We definitely will trust him with our dog in the future!
Joel took care of my cats while I was away and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! He did a great job staying on top of their feeding schedule and was the perfect companion to them giving them lots of love and pets. They were well taken care of and I could tell that my cats were happy too 😸

I do not offer the service of caring for your pet at my own home, as my apartment in Groningen is not fit for and does not allow pets. In a pet owner's home, I feed pets according to the specified schedule, take them outside every few hours, go on walks with a leash once or twice a day, and play around inside if they seem energetic.

Information I ask of the dog owner includes: How often should I let your dog outside? How many times a day should I feed your dog and with how much food? Does your dog like or dislike a lot of attention? Where are supplies I should be aware of (cleaning supplies, toys, leash, etc.) Are there any medications I need to administer to your dog? Most importantly, is there anything particular to your dog that I should be aware of?
A typical day
I love to wear my dogs out by playing indoors or outdoors with their favorite toys. One of my dogs, Milo, will spend all day chasing a balled-up sock around, and my other dog, Sam, likes to spend time to himself running around outside. I'll take dogs on walks on whatever sidewalks or trails are available. After the dogs are out of energy I enjoy sitting with them and petting them while I relax reading a book.

I'm currently living away from home, so pet care is not in my current routine. It's been a few years since I had an active part in taking care of my family's little guys, but my routine then involved checking in with family in the morning or at night to make sure they were fed, giving them a bath every couple of weeks, and taking them on walks in the evening.
