Pet care experience

I've lived with dogs all my life, from my mom's 20 year old chihuahua that I care for now, to my 180lbs Saint Bernard that recently passed. My dog walks include HIKING through the nearest forest path, and am comfortably sharing a bed with your pooch if they're used to sleeping at your feet. I can handle XLARGE breeds, REACTIVE dogs, administer MEDICATION, and even have experience with unusual, farm life, and exotic pets such as snakes, rabbits, chickens and horses. Have a SHY, FEARFUL dog? My personal dog right now is a fearful German Shepherd. He's a shy boy, and he has taught me how to move slowly and speak softly around fearful dogs. I'm so thankful for everything my dog has taught me.

Joe did a great job taking care of our elderly dog , Arin , while we were away for a week. He is caring and compassionate to the needs of my dog and Arin was happy to also have the company of his dog Lola as well . he left my house neat and clean and spent a lot of time with Arin out in the back yard ( which she LOVED) when the weather was unusually hot . Joe has also cared for Arin on a drop in basis when we are gone for the day , and I feel very much at ease knowing that Arin is in good hands with someone she likes , when we are away . I would have no hesitation at all calling on Joe again , when the need arises , and I'm sure I will!

Joe is an extremely caring individual who is attentive to the needs of everyone around him. He always places his charges and their care before himself , ensuring that they don't lack for anything while in his care. He is meticulous and follows through with any instructions given. His training experience is a definite asset and ensures that my dogs always return with their skills sharpened. Joe is the primary caretaker for my animals and is always at the top of my recommendation list.

Joe is a very kind spirit. He loves animals and always puts their needs first. I have seen him work with and care for the animals he owns; he is always gentle and loving. I would definitely feel comfortable with joe caring for my many animals.

Information Joe S. would like to know about your pet

I am comfortable with XSMALL to XLARGE breeds, and anywhere in between. I especially love bully breeds such as Pit Bulls, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Bull Terriers, as I have two of my own and adore them both. Though I am experienced with all three of these categories, I would like to know if your pooch is fearful, aggressive, or overly energetic beforehand. I need to know what kind of introduction your dog is comfortable with. Do they prefer a calm, soft spoken people? Or do boisterous, happy people make their tails wag?

A typical day

I offer a few different walking options, which ever you are comfortable with! If your dog is okay with car rides, I can drive them to the nearest hiking trail and take them on up to a 2 mile hike twice a day. If your dog prefers city strolls, we can walk around the block for however long they need. If you have a social pooch, who also enjoys car rides, I can drive them to the dog park and let them play with their friends. Have a small puppy or an elderly dog who prefers a romp in the yard? I can play fetch, tug-of-war, hide treats and toys in the yard for a brain game of Find-it, or in the summer I can even turn the hose on for some water fun! -------------------------- Staying in home, if your dog is used to sleeping at the foot of your bed with you, I am perfectly comfortable letting your pooch share the bed with me. I try and keep your dog on a schedule. What that schedule is filled with, is your decision! Does your pooch prefer sleeping on the couch and a brief stroll around the neighborhood to a vigorous hike? His or her schedule will reflect that. Have an energetic hound who loves playing fetch and hiking in the woods? We'll take short breaks in between fun exercises throughout the day! ------------------- Am I just dropping by for potty breaks? I make sure I stay for as long as your pup needs me. Do they need cuddles after doing their business? Maybe they want a quick and fun training session, or a game of fetch? I ensure they are left feeling loved and cared for.
