Pet care experience
Have you seen a large guy walking tiny dogs in the Sac area with an almost comical size difference? If so, that might’ve been me. I’ve been fostering and adopting dogs from puppies to seniors for nearly 12 years. Whenever school gets challenging, which seems to be always, my favorite study break is getting outside to walk dogs. I have experience training dogs, from puppies to a several years, and handling various sizes of dogs that are highly reactive towards other dogs. I believe in positive reinforcement for dogs and I’m willing to manage several dogs together.
Reviews
Joe is the best with my dog. Despite my dog being unsure of new people he was very patient and calm when interacting with her. He's super attentive and treats your dogs like family!
Joe was a fantastic resource while I had a couple of long work days in a row! My pup (Chloe) needed to be walked a couple times throughout a week of finalizing projects and he took such good care of Chloe. She was a happy little gal when I got home. Joe was dependable and made sure Chloe was safe and cared for. Would definitely ask him for help again!

I’m currently training a puppy of my own, so I’m not able to board. I’ll gladly come to your home and walk your dog in your neighborhood or do visits. I prefer to utilize your walking materials, though I’m able to bring them upon request. I have several crate sizes available if requested for transport to parks.
Information Joe M. would like to know about your pet
Feeding and medication are most important. I appreciate knowing if the dog is especially reactive to anything and what their play style is with people and other dogs.
A typical day
I think it’s very important to let dogs sniff on walks, so my usual walk is start slow then speed up to get the dog some exercise. If the dog is willing and able, I’m happy to take them on slow runs. If they are especially active, I’ve skateboarded with dogs and that gives them a chance to really rip. For longer stays, I enjoy taking dogs hiking.

Availability
As a medical student, I mostly work and study from home. Mornings before 7am and early afternoons to evenings are my most available times, but my schedule is often very flexible.
