I have been lucky enough to be married to a beautiful woman who is also a Veterinarian and who for the past 22 years has been with me every step of the way as I have learned to raise, train and care for dogs from all walks of life. I enjoy the simple walks or a romp through the forest with your pet. And my heart still breaks with joy when I get to spend time with senior companions. As an addendum, one of the most thrilling things that I enjoy is working with aggression issues. Whether a dog comes from a home or from the Shelter here in Jackson, I have been able to help them become good citizens through spending time in nature. With my dogs as their guides they learn to run, explore and gain confidence in themselves as they travers mountain trails, ford streams, swim through beaver ponds and play by the river. Via the new sights, sounds, scents and experiences, they realize there is no longer a need for an aggressive face. Spending time in a natural and non threatening environment, with other dogs, teaches them that they are no different from any other. They sense there is nothing to fear and that they are just one of a very large pack, a pack that exists no matter where they go.
