Hi, I always wanted to be a Veterinarian, only to find out at the age of 15 that I needed to be really good at science- my worst subject. So, I followed a different path, but have always surrounded my self with pets. I enjoy all pets, but my true love is with dogs. I used to have a farm, and many stray dogs came to visit. They were clearly not looked after by others, so gradually they became mine. :) After getting them healthy and training them to be indoor pets, I gave one to my niece and another to my parents. The oldest one I kept. About a year after, I got a miniature dachshund for my daughter. Sam(75lb farm dog) and Penny(11lb dachshund) have become inseparable, in fact I even wrote a book about the two of them. Penny has had multiple operations on her back, and Sam was run over several years ago. With time and effort I have nurtured them both back to good health and able to walk, albeit a bit wobbly sometimes. They are the sweetest dogs and a big part of our family. All dogs are welcome in our home and will get the same love and attention as Sam and Penny.
